Happy Easter! (+ #30b430 Update)

I view my blog and keep up with bloggers I follow very regularly, but lately I haven't felt like I have had much to say.

I think it's because life is just scooting right along as quickly as ever and it's been very routine around here.

I started my new job about six weeks ago and I'm already a bit bored. That was fast....

I worked so hard to get this job and now that I have it, I realize that I'm still not fulfilled by it. Isn't that true of almost any accomplishment we set out to achieve? We learn that we cannot possibly be filled by this or that because the truth is that each of our hearts have a God-sized hole and He is the only one who can fill it.

This weekend my colleagues and I played a departmental golf tournament. It was SO FUN.
If you can remember, one of the things on my #30b430 list was to learn to golf. While I'm not good by any stretch of the imagination, I feel like I'm getting the hang of it. Let me just repeat this: IT IS SO FUN. If I have the opportunity to go again soon, I will jump on it. Some of my drives were 150+ yards and I had a few good pitches and putts as well. I've been to the driving range a few times before but never golfed a full 18 holes, so it was just great. I was teamed up with 3 of my colleagues who were patient with me and great coaches, which is always really helpful.

Speaking of the #30b430 list.... next week Ciara and I will drive from Seattle to San Diego on the Pacific Coast Highway. I am so excited!!! I've never been to the West Coast.
